You were in the store - why didn't you go straight to customer service to complain. If you did that something could be done about it. Complaining on here means it will just keep happening. Nice job.

I am sorry about your situation but there is no reason for you to complain about this company - why DID you buy items you couldn't afford? I am sick and tired of the idiots out there buying things they can't afford and then complaining when they have to pay. Live within your means. You are not entitled to something you didn't earn.

This sounds like a problem that should be addressed to the manufacturer of the carpet, not the company that installed it. Try to find out who is the manufacturer (Empire should have told your mother when she purchased it) and complain to them.

Oh please I am a 37 year old white female with a good job and no weird tatoos or piercings and they do the exact same thing to me, which is why I don't shop there anymore. It isn't a race issue it is a stupidity issue. If people would just stop shopping their and putting up with their crap it would go out of business. This isn't a race thing, stop making it one and pay attention to the other customers in the store - they are getting the same treatment no matter what they look like.

You have got to be kidding - you placed the order on 12/22 and 8 hours later it was after 3pm on 12/23 - and you expected delivery on 12/24 - are you high? First if you ordered that late on 12/22 you can't assume it would go through - sounds like it was after normal business hours. And why did it take you so long to respond to their email? It doesn't sound like they are the problem, it sounds like you are the problem. Consumers with ridiculous expectations are part of societies problem of greed and the gimme gimme attitude that is everywhere now. You are not entitled to something just because you think you are - you have to be reasonable. I have not shopped at this site but maybe now I will just to show them that all consumers are idiots.

Hey smart consumer, I originally placed the order on 12/22/08 this would qualify 2nd day delivery, I gave, with no argument, $22 for the company's promise of overnight delivery by the 24th. Ridiculous expectation, really? Let me tell you, when a company meets its customers expectations, they are sucessful, I'll go back to ordering from Amazon.com who go beyond meeting customer's expectations(they not only deliver when they say, but are frequently early... I guess that's why they were one of only 2 internet companys to make money this poor holiday shopping period)Remember, they made the guarantee, why do you have a hard time holding them then to their" RIDICULOUS" as you put it GUARANTEE. Well smartconsumer, you can go on and lower your expectations of companys, but I'll go with the ones who meet and surpass them.
