I agree 100 percent. Room stays makes a $9.95 charge for nothing. I tried to call to cancel a reservation 30 seconds after making it and was told that the "system is down." There is no reason to use these people! Call the hotel directly. You can often get a better rate (and not pay the $9.95 service charge which is NEVER refundable - even when the reservation has not even been processed!)
