Well, it seems I have had a pool longer than you have worked in the field. I do very well know what MSDS sheets are considering I own a construction company. Probably about the time you began working with pools is when I no longer needed to test my pool. All I need to do is get in it and I know what chemical it needs. Oddly, When I replaced Leslie's chlorine with the brand I have always used...the cloudy problem disappeared completely. I believe the problem with Leslie's brand is the "other" ingredients added to the mix. Nonetheless, I made the mistake of purchasing it once...NEVER AGAIN! I hope Leslie's goes bankrupt...it is the worse possible excuse for pool supplies and service. ES&D

I must admit the mental picture of you diving into your pool and comming up smacking your lips and then exclaiming, "Hmmm... Needs some cyaunuric acid..." were very entertaining. However I highly doubt your body getting into the pool is as accurate as a Taylor Test Kit! Here's your problem... First of all 99% of pool owners do not know everything their pool should use. Do you even know what kind of chlorine you're using? Calcium Hypochlorite, sodium hypochlorite, sodium dichloride, lithium hypochlorite, trichlor, or are you shocking with an oxidizer? Do take into account that each individual type of chlorine affects your ph and alk. in your pool in different ways. Do you have any clue on the effects of alkalinity on ph levels, or the effect of ph on chlorine efficiency? As much as I'm positive you'll claim to know all of that information I'm just as positive you don't know. Sounds like out of dumb luck you started using the appropriate blend of chemicals. Congrats on owning a pool longer than I've been in the industry, you are still a completely untrained pool owner just like everyone else! I don't know much about framing, drywall, or construction but I know what it is and enough that I could hold a conversation about it. So don't try and insinuate that because you've owned a pool longer than I've been in the industry you know more. Let me know when you've become a Certified Pool Operator. Let me know when you've completed the hours of skilled labor and repairs I've done. Let me know when you've even figured our your ass from your face when it comes to water chemistry!
