Dispicable. I was calling to make a reservation at the Sheraton Sand Key. I looked the hotel up on line and at the top of the page found a pic of the hotel, address and an 866 number. I called the number, requested a reservation for the dates of the seminar I am attending and for the seminar rate. I was told the hotel was sold out but I could get a room at the Wyndham a mile away. I mistakelny thought this was good customer service and made the reservation. I gave my cc card to hold the reservation which is standard when making reserations. A couple of days later over $800 was deducted from my checking account. At no time was I ever told I was calling roomstay.com. I was never asked nor did I ever give authorization for my account to be debited I have contacted the company, cancelled the reservation and told I would be refunded in 3-5 days--while they hold my money and earn interest. I could not speak with a supervisor and was given an addresss to their office in Dallas and told to write them a letter. I am filing fraud charges through my bank. Not only should this company not be allowed to conduct business, but any reputable hotel should ensure there is no association with them.
