No doubt. I in fact never had an Advanta Card, yet they somehow got my name and info and then, in November 2008 I was informed that I owed over $6000 to a company I had not previously heard of. After about 20 requests, they still had not sent me anything with a signature or even an itemizated bill so that I could see if the account was used in my area. They also called me at work even after I sent repeated "Do not call" letters. I filed complaints with the FTC, filed an ID theft report, but Advanta did not care and then sold my account to a collection agency. Thanks for turning my 740 FICO into a 530, a-holes! Now they are going under so I can't even sue them.
