Hello my name is nia from aurora, illinois, and a very similar incident happend to my mom in one of the ulta salons in the area and i was wondering how corperate office handled the situation and what acctions were taken against the manager. We took action and filled a discrimanation report against the store and we did contact there HR number.When we called them they told us that they will email the situation to the distract manager, which they did but they advised me that it might take a couple buisness days since they do not have direct contact to there email during the day. They did finaly contact us after we filed the discrimination report and offered my mother a gift certificate which she refused. She wanted and apology , and the manager told her she will se what she can do. We still have not heard from them. This incident happend on 5/13/09. If you can please email me back or comment me i would greatly appreciate it

hi. I used to work at Ulta for one yr and I can tell you that this manager can and will be terminated. DO not just give up.
you need to call the corporate location in romeoville, il. Thats where i worked. Tell them the story. Also write letters. ASk for the district managers name. Go back in the store and ask a employee for their DM's name and dont even talk to a manager- every one knows everyone trust me. Ulta has a huge problem with profiling thieves. They do this all the time and it needs to get stopped. The entire company treats people like garbage. I feel really bad for you and i just want you to know that you should be not only compensated for what happened to your family but per the ulta handbook it calls for IMMEDIATE termination if :
1. any employee or manager even approaches a customer and accuses them of stealing without actually seeing it occur.
2. following the customer outside of the store.
3. POLICY states that you should simply contact the police or our LOSS PREVENTION TEAM.
4. The fact that the manager LEFT her store is also cause for termination.
5. she can never refuse to provide store information including her store district manager name.
6. did you ask for an incident report?
7. i would have filed a complaint with the police!
