I purchased an HP laptop dv9000us model a little over two years ago. Recently my screen went black. In looking for a solution I was directed to an HP bulletin that recognized the problem and offered an extension on the original warranty of a year. My warranty expired 2 months before the cutoff. What I find appalling is that HP recognized there this was a problem with its model and indicates on the bulletin that if your model does not have a problem, then don't do anything. Basically, if you unit is still working, there is no coverage. Wait till it surfaces and then see if it is covered. They were aware of the problem and their remedy is short of fair. They knew this problem was and is going to continue to surface. They should have issued a recall and correct the problem and because of issues like this that affects all their customers, I find it hard that your organization can actually give them your highest stamp of approval.
