I have read several horror stories about Direct TV and their invisible contract. I find it totally unfair that the consumer does not see the terms and conditions of a contract or hear about a contract until they receive a bill; then its too late reject services. I always thought that a contract states upfront what both parties expect and terms/conditions. Then you sign your agreement. I never signed a contract nor was I verbally explained terms and conditions during installation. The only reason most customers find out that they are in fact under contract with Direct TV is through a customer service rep, usually after the fact. Which leads me to the lies that the customer service rep are able to tell. I asked about a contract and the rep said that I would not have a contract. To me these "contracts" are Null and Void.
