Amazon.com (for example) ships packages with USPS and provides a tracking number. This number is never found in the system until the package is delivered. With USPS competitors, the tracking information is actually valuable. Valuable as far as knowing about delays or earlier then expected deliveries-yes they actually beat the estimates sometimes. I request that USPS make the tracking number useful or just call it a confirmation number as it currently serves.
