I went to Double M last night for the Haunted Hayrides, we had a reservation. We unintentionally arrived way before they opened and had 2 vehicles. I left my vehicle in the parking lot while we ran to the mall to waste a little time. I returned to find my vehicle towed. Leo at Double M claimed that my car was blocking an exit. OK...#1...there was NO sign stating No Parking or Exit or any where that the fence I was parked in front of could be opened. #2...even if I was blocking an "exit", I was back at Double M 45 minutes before they even opened. (last I checked people won't be leaving through an exit if they haven't been able to walk through the entrance yet)
The tow truck driver even said it was wrong, he noted that there were no signs stating you couldn't park there. He also asked Leo if there was any kind of PA system that he used to ask the people that were standing on line if it was their car. Leo's response was NO. So for all he knew I was standing on the line waiting to get in and he had my car towed. Well pretty dumb on Double M's part since I spent all my money getting my car out of tow so I didn't spend a penny there. I called the local police and was advised since it is private property there is no law to protect me. But had a cop been called they could not have given me any ticket since I was not breaking any law.
I will NEVER go to this place for anything ever. I have already started sharing my experience of this place at my job...the rumor mill works quick here and we have over 150 employees. Seems to me that Double M bites the hand that feeds them...pretty stupid.
