On August 15, 2009 I purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 9.1MP Digital Camera with 20x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization and 3.0 Inch LCD for $499.00 at the Sony Store at Plaza las America in San Juan, Puerto Rico while on vacation. The camera was on display and had a couple minor scrathes on the lens. As an incentive to purchase the camera I was given a 16 Gig memory card and an extra battery at no charge. On several occasions the camera failed to function propertly since the display key sometimes flickers on and off. My local Sony Store refused to exchange it. Yesterday the camera's display went blank and the camera no longer operates at all. Not only does the Sony Store refuse to exchange my camera they refuse to accept the camera for repairs. I called Sony Support and they walked me through the steps to initialize the camera, but the camera is still inoperable. Please help me to have the Sony Store exchange my camera for a new one.
