I have taken two trips on Amtrak in 2009. Generally, I have been quite satisfied.

But folks, Amtrak has been billing itself as an ecologically sound way to travel, leaving relatively light carbon footprints. So let's recycle the recyclable containers sold on trains, especially the aluminum cans! Recyclables could be dropped off at stations where community organizations could take them on to recycling centers.
