Aqua Globe Complaint

I purchased two sets of Aqua Globe s from Blair. The water goes out of them from 0-2 days instead of the 2 weeks advertised.
I have constantly filled them with water and always the same result. Also, when they are pushed down into the soil, the ends fill up with dirt and it clogs the end of the globe up. Any suggestions? I had ordered two sets for my daughter but cancelled the order.

if you're using them in larger plants, they will run out of water faster. the product is designed to release water as the plant needs it. as far as clogging the tip, try pushing a pencil or wooden rod into the soil first to make an opening for the tip rather than pushing it into the soil.

I love my aqua globes. In fact, I am looking for a good deal to buy one for every one of my plants. I had one plant that was dying on me because I couldn't manage to keep it watered enough. Since the aqua globe, it has fully recovered and looks great. You have to water your plant before putting in the aqua globe. The directions say to poke a hole (I use a wooden dowel for this) and then insert the aqua globe in -- this helps prevent breaking the neck and clogging it with dirt. Some dirt always gets in, but doesn't seem to stop the water. Some plants take more water than others, but it usually lasts a week or two on average.

My Aqua Globes empty in 2 or 3 days. The soil in the poit remains dry. The bottom of the globes get cloged with dirt. They are not what they claim to be. They need to improve on their product.

During the drier months, the aqua globes do use more water. Use the end of something before placing them in the soil to make a hole, it helps some.
