terrible service - Nordic Track Audiostrider 990

I just tried for days to reach UTS to service my 14 month old Nordic Track Audio Strider 990 eliptical machine. I was on hold for a total of 3 hours yesterday. When someone answers and asks for your contract number, there is a pause then a hang up. There is apparently no other way to contact them except for this 800 number. Their web site is useless. What do you do with this useless warranty? Our eliptical has a broken left link arm - it split right in half and like the warranty, is also useless. This machine was very expensive. I'm at my wits end. I wrote a letter and threatened calling the Better Business Bureau. After reading all your reviews, I'm not going to delay.
