BEWARE. Sears does not honor online rebates. Either you will have input wrong codes, wrong dates, or something else which makes you "unqualified", even if you did everything right and 10 people told you you are qualified. I know for a fact I am qualified. The instore ad said all purchases on appliances that day 11/16/08 were qualified for free delivery. I bought 4200 dollars in appliances so I was well over the minimum. I never got the rebate and three times they told me to "input it again". The third time, we faxed the info to the woman who did it FOR us while we were on the phone with her so no errors would occur. Here is it many weeks later and today I get another message (nearly 6 months of going through this now) saying we are NOT QUALIFIED!!! It's soooo frustrating.

PS when you contact each rep, get their full name, their bosses name and the phone number. Figure out if they are related to the Rebate center which is contracted out or from Sears itself. What you want to deal with is Sears directly. Make sure you tell them who you talked to and when. Then ask for THEIR boss too... and ask for the head of the Customer service there. Ask the mailing address for the Corporate office to scare them... and mention BBC as well as the word fraud. Don't be nasty. Be polite but let them know you aren't letting the issue go. Sears told me they cannot issue cash ... but they can compensate with gift cards; alas, that means you have to shop at Sears again. Too bad too because I actually like the Kenmore Elite appliances which I bought (Washer, dryer, fridge and before this incident I had purchased the matching Stove and Microwave as well). I let them know how much money I spent there and it was well over 5 grand. I think I was entitled to my 75.00 plus my free delivery rebate! But the stress and grief was really not worth it; but it's the principle damn it!

Contact Sears again; talk to the manager or boss of each rep you get. Tell them you are tired and you will get the rebate; and you'll be filing BBB complaints against the company and you want the name of the company they hired to do the rebates for them. Also everyone should send letters to the CEO of Sears directly telling him of continual problems by hundreds of people. What they want is for you to give up. I eventually got so miffed, I got someone to commit to me at minimum a Sears gift card at 5.00 LESS than what was owed me in cash. It wasn't the cash and I was ripped off 5.00 in the end (and a lot of time) but I got SOMETHING which was better than nothing. Took me many weeks to do it. I also told them if I wasn't given the adverstised rebates, I would not only take my business elsewhere, but I would make sure I continually blogged about it every chance I could as well as tell my friends/neighbors etc not to buy from them.... it worked. It takes time so I urge you NOT to give up; that's what they want you to do. I had a cople rebates due. I ended up with about 70.00 I believe.

Yup, got the same exact issue here. Even went into the store and the manager agrees that the information is 100% correct.

I am currently having the EXACT same problem with sears. I had to input the info 3 times and then they come back and say that i no longer qualify because it was not submitted in time! Even though the original submission was 7 months ago!

I mailed in a rebate on a Sears refrigerator and have not received the rebate after 4 months. I have placed numerous of calls and keep getting different time frames as to when it will be sent. They claim to have re-issued twice. It's a scam. I have contacted Consumer Affairs. When I chatted with a rep. on-line he chats for about 10 min. and then says he couldn't help me. Whenever I call they say 5 to 7 days, 10 to 14 days, 21 days or 30 days. It's like they are making up dates. So sad to be a cheat for a living.

I agree on online rebates not working. I'd always mailed in rebate form before. It has been six months since my purchace. Indeed frustating. Many phone calls to sears rebate center. Now the rebate that I had filled out on sears rebate center does not even exist!
So much stress over $140.00. I shopped and waited around so much to find a good deal on the HD TV. So much for that! Hardley worth the stress that I am having trying to get the rebate check. How can they get away with this!?
