"baby's crying....but the floors are wet!!!" - Baby Formula

On February 24th, 2008 I realized I ran out of formula for my 7 month old child, and decided to go to wallgreens located on main street in Manchester Ct to purchase formula seeing as this wallgreens should be CONVENIENT to customer at all times, seeing that it is a 24 hr store. Much to my surprise when I arrived that wasn’t the case. As I entered the store I realized the floors where being moped and asked your night shift manager if I could go to aisle 3 and grab a can of formula, she then responded that I could not, because “the floors were wet”. It was an ongoing battle for 40 minutes, I do not see how not even an employee could go to the isle for me and get what I needed for my child. NO EMPLOYEES OR MANAGER were trying to help me in any way, realizing that I had a hungry child and had no where else to go because it was 2 in the morning. (I Choose to go to wallgreens because IT IS 24 HRS!)

While I understand that it is important to keep your floors clean, it is far more important for me to feed my child. The experience that I had at this particular store was uncalled for and very unprofessional, and embarrassing, not to mention the fact that when I stated that my child was hungry I was rudely told by one of the employees that If I stepped on the floors they would be ruined.

I expect a letter apology for the rude customer service and management on your part. Which is far less than what I should really expect. I am very disappointed and will not be returning to this store.

What I needed at that time was a necessity, in order to feed my crying child and the response that I received from your staff was UN called for.

IF YOUR CHILD WAS SO IMPORTANT..YOU WOULD HAVE MADE SURE THERE WAS ENOUGH FORMULA IN THE HOUSE, AND NOT REALIZED IT AT 2 IN THE MORNING..THE STORE DID NOT WANT YOU, OR THEIR EMPLOYEES TO SLIP ON THE FLOOR. IT WAS YOUR TIMMING THAT SUCKED,AND AGAIN FOR SOMETHING AS IMPORTANT AS FEEDING A BABY,I SURE AS HELL MADE SURE I HAD THE NEEDED ITEMS BEFORE NIGHTFALL..
