Big Lots Review

policies & raises?

I work for Big Lots & have for a few years now, my problem is that they are breaking their own policies upon entering & exiting a store. Even though I have complained to my District Manager & HR people, the problem STILL goes on. I have talked with lawyers & even though i have a valid case, I don't want to get fired from my job nor do I want them to retaliate against me(which is another Big Lots police that gets broken), something my direct boss is known to do, which is also illegal as well, just another Big Lot policy that gets broken on a weekly occurrence. Even though it has gotten better for me entering & leaving the building, the other managers that have to open & close are STILL entering & exiting the building alone. My question is, what can I do to stop a policy breaking company from breaking their own policies without getting myself in trouble? LOL...not that this letter won't get me in trouble. But someone has to open their Big Mouth & I guess I'm the one to do just that but don't want the trouble I knew this will bring. Another complaint I have is Big Lots didn't see it necessary to give me a raise this year. Their reasoning behind this was that I had gotten a write-up, back in August of 2009, because of a customer complaint, even though I was in the right about the Barbie Doll in question, I still got the write-up & no raise because of it. Now, it has been a year & a half since my last evil customer complaint, I feel that it was a lame excuse not to give a good & loyal employee a raise. I even asked my boss, "What about all the good I do for customers? What about all the good I do for the Big Lots company? LOL!!! OUT OF THE POLICY BREAKERS OWN MOUTH!!!, he says, "It is a Big Lots policy." I am open to any suggestions that anyone might have for me because I truly don't want to do what the lawyers tell me I should do.
