kids/teen shows - DISNEY CHANNEL

I used to allow my boys (9 and 10) to watch Suite Life, Hannah Montana, Corey in the House, etc., those shows that are geared toward preteens. Well, the more I watch them and the newer the episodes are the more I am seeing that you are pushing the sexual/dating agenda. These are kids, KIDS, and they need to stay that way as long as they can. I don't believe in hiding things from them if they are ready for them, but to make every show about kissing, dating, boy crazy or girl crazy, etc. is not acceptable. I have now blocked the Disney Channel on our t.v. It makes me so sad because I used to like the shows that were just clean fun. I understand that the actors are growing up, but you need to understand that the viewers who actually watch the shows are not teenagers in high school as the characters are. We don't need high school situations. We need sweet, innocent, pure fun situations that are acceptable to kids 7-12. Please consider changing your programming to reflect the audience that truly watches these shows. I would be happy to bring back the channel to my home if you would remove these more adult situations from your shows. Thank you!

Oh I have to agree! They are so sexed up - we've stopped watching TV in our house altogether and everyone is better for it.

Thank you for your post. If we would all DO something instead of just thinking about it maybe some positive change will come. All we have to do is sacrifice a little (just block the station for a while) they would get the picture and hopefully change the programming. A little sacrifice now for our kids is worth their lifetime of poor choices or a childhood stolen from them.
You are wise for your years - you'll be a great mom!

I agree! I don't have kids yet but I already can see how disturbing these programs are for the young kids. I'm in my late twenties and can NOT believe how the little girls are dressing and acting these days.
