My mother bought my sister and I a Kenmore sewing machine for Christmas 2007, she did not get an extended warranty. She bought these in October before Christmas. We don't do a lot of sewing but I was making costumes for our church Easter program and had nothing but trouble. The machine's needle sticks sometimes, won't go up or down, the bobbin thread balls up, the presser foot falls off, etc. My sister returned her first machine before the 90 days was up, she tried hers earlier. she had the same problems with her machine, they replaced it with another Kenmore machine with the same results, she returned it and did get a refund. I did not try to return mine till after Easter and it was too late although the machine had never worked correctly. So we have had a total of four Kenmore sewing machines, all with the same problem and they will not replace them or fix them. The service people were not very helpful and many of their sales associates are rude. I will not go into the Sears store anymore at the mall, no mater how great the sale.
