these folks would be gone (quicker than you can say "kaput"). When there is a problem with the high speed computer hook-up, you can kiss the day good-bye and just hunker down to multiple conversations with arrogant & dumb (a lethal combo) "customer service" people. Their snotty attitude is only compounded by too-loud "Fur Elise-type" hold music, which only serves to infuriate the hapless customer who can either put-up or shut-up. I have clocked hold-time at 67 minutes (just to get near snotty rep # 1). Entire afternoons have disappeared, hostages to this process. By the time the repair person comes out (an appt with-in the week usually requires shameless begging and crying--no joke), you are docile. Now if the FIRST repair person could fix it--maybe OK. I have been through 3 different repair ppl (and a foreman) on the latest Road Runner fiasco. The FCC does NOT govern internet connections and passes this little problem to the individual states. The state and municipal entities try to foist the problem back on the FCC>

When Road Runner works, it is lyrical. Whe it does not (usually 2-3 times per year), it is desperation and degradation.

I had really bad experiences with Road Runner too, and finally just had to pay a bit more and go to AT&T for high speed internet. It is trouble free!
