i bought this HP notebook about six months ago, since then i have had nothing but problems, the machine is totally rubbish,since day one i had software problems such as windows explorer and internet explorer crashing, then after less than two months i had a total crash, turned out that the hard driver failed, it was replaced, with the total loss of all my files,after a few weeks i had to reinstall windows because it got corrupted, a further loss of files, including irreplaceble photos, at the time i thought it was vista's fault,so on the next crash i had the hard drive partitioned to have twin OS,vista and xp that was last week. Two days after xp crashed, claiming a recent software/hard ware change was the cause, unfortunally there was no change.Finally contacted HP for the second case they discovered the hard drive was failing again, so as you can see i did not enjoy this notebook at all,and i lost confidence with both HP and Microsoft, especially as HP refuses to replace the machine,which is obviously faulty (never heard of hard disc failure twice in two months)i would apreciate if HP sent a replacement since it is still under warranty, considering the fact that i bought this machine because it was HP, i had various product from HP and they all been fine, desktop pc,printer,pda and so on. The support team offered a hard disc replacement but as it got replaced before i am not happy about the idea, over the last few months i lost friends contacts, personal files,photographs and so on, please HP contact me wiyh a solution to my problem because i am losing my patience with this machine, if i could afford it i would purchase a MAC BOOK but i don't want do that if i had some real support

Im having the same problems with the same machine and hp are treating me exactly the same way.
I have taken it upon myself to make their lifes hell through live technical support and by any other means i can find...
