how can companies get away with it....

I thought I was looking at a "platinum credit card" I thought it sounded too good to be true so I went online to check it out..
PEOPLE....PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT..
I have been ripped off by orchard credit card by them giving me a $300 limit and by the time they instantly took their fees off the top, it left me with only a $150 limit..I lost my job and got behind and now they say I owe them $980...HOW? when MY limit was only $300. THIS FIRST PLUS PLATINUM CREDIT is just like that credit card company. AS soon as you give your credit card number they will run your credit card up with fees and will always be a thone in your side.

I am desperate to buy christmas for my children but not this desperate..

teena64420: don't get confused, you have to go through the details when you enter into any contract and to credit agencies for that matter. First Plus Platinum is not a credit card but works like one, it is more of a debit card. You owe nothing but you lose that credit limit when you do use it unlike in Visa or Mastercard, you already owe them by just being a cardholder even without making any purchases. With shopping card you just lose your credit limit, whatever charges entered you must have missed in the paperworks. I even have to ask their phone reps so many questions for me to have a good grip of how to make good use of this shopping cards. ITS NOT FRAUD, you just have to know how to use it properly.
