Recently, I purchased a fully assembled elliptical trainer (Horizon SXE 7.7)

and an extended maintenance plan. Upon initial use, a noise was noted

with each revolution. Additionally, the right rear wheel strayed from

the track with each back and forth motion. I called for service. After

an extended telephone wait, I was connected with an attendant, who

informed me the product could not be serviced by Sears . I noted the

product was purchased from Sears on the previous day, at which time the

attendant expressed intent to "check on it." After another extended

wait, the attendant confirmed the product could be serviced, and a

service appointment was scheduled to occur the next week. Today is the

date of the scheduled appointment. I have cleared my calendar for today,
in lieu of the broad 8AM-5PM service call appointment. I have now been

notified that the service call has been cancelled for today, and the

earliest appointment available is next Thursday. Again, another one week
wait, for which I must clear my calendar in order to be available from

8AM-5PM. Also, it appears the product is no longer available on

Sears.com. Therefore, the option to return and purchase another "less

defective" unit is not available. I am left questioning the "value"

received when purchasing items from an establishment which cannot

provide service as contracted in a timely fashion. No resolution, to date.
