I have since two months a travelmate 5510. i have to call the third time customer service and have sent the laptop off to the warranty department in all cases, they didn't do anything than resotre default settings the problem was solved by somebody i had to pay More...

Three times is enough! LaPine, Oregon Hardware will get little or none of my future business. The third unpleasant experience with a clerk by the name of Deb was enough. At issue is the Ace Rewards Card. I have a rewards account with Ace and receive cards for $5.00 occasionally. Deb insists that I present a card in order to use the rewards program, using the excuse that "it is not fair to other customers if my name is entered to access my account due to the time required". I am the only account with my last name, it takes only 5 seconds to enter it. It takes about half a minute to get a card out of my wallet. Deb is unhelpful and rude, so to avoid this problem, I will either go to another store (possibly not an Ace), or avoid the LaPine store on days Deb is there.
Today I was helped immensly by two other employees, Cheri and Paul, who saved me a lot of searching and gave me excellent advice.
An important question for Ace and John Pinkney is, how many other customers have been lost due to this clerk?
