I had placed an order with bloomex.ca for 2 gift baskets over the Christmas holidays, one going to my sister's family in Victoria BC and the other going to my wife's parents in London ON. The gift basket to my sister arrived no problem, and my sister called us to thank us for the basket. (I must say it was really nice according to her). The basket to my wife's family however never arrived. I contacted bloomex's customer service and asked where the basket was. The agent was really polite, she said it was shipped with a courier company for overnight delivery, and she would check on the status. Apparently the basket was stuck somewhere at the courier company's "handling station". The agent sincerely apologized and told me she wold resend out a new gift basket right away so that it would arrive for the holidays, as it had been stuck now for 3 days at this "station". The next day my wife's parent call up and say they received 2 gift baskets!! I went on live chat and told the agent that my wife's parents received 2 baskets, and that I didn't want to be charged for 2 baskets. The girl said that looks like the courier company ended up delivering the first basket after all! The girl apologized for all the confusion, saying that the holidays are really busy, especially for the courier companies, and that they could keep the 2nd basket as a gift from bloomex.ca and they would only charge me for the 1 basket. I have been extremely pleased with the outcome of my order, although I wasn't impressed with the courier company it worked out to our benefit. My wife was even more impressed with the customer support from bloomex's online chat agents.
Bloomex does a valiant job at trying to keep their customers happy and using their services again, in this day and age with the recession coming, people will shy away from companies that do not put customers first, and I am pleased that bloomex did that for me
