? about extension - loan

I have a question about an extension. I didn't notice when I did it but I ogt a 90 day extension on my GMAC loan. But what I should have done was get a 3 payment/month extension. Becuase 30 days is not alway a month so they are making out on it. I ask they blow me off can anyone answer this question.
