I recently discovered Yahoo Answers I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. It seemed like a great way to help people out. The concept and the true idea are very, very far off from each other. So far in 2 weeks, I have received 10 Violations Notices. Which sounds horrible, until you understand how Yahoo is running this so-called Help Forum. If you post a question that a person working at Yahoo doesn't personally like, they will delete it and you will get a Violations Notices for it. If you post a comment and Yahoo And/Or another user doesn't like it, you will get a Violations Notice. I just received 2 more notices for read this very carefully, (I POSTED LINKS TO SOFTWARE DRIVERS THAT THE USERS WAS ASKING A QUESTION ABOUT). A guy came in and was having a problem with his LG phone. His problem was a software driver issue, so I posted a link to LG's software home page. I didn't post a link to a site selling anything. I posted a link to the content this guy was having trouble finding. And Yahoo DELETED MY LINK AND GAVE ME A VIOLATION NOTICE!
The other Violations Notice, same story. A different gay was having a problem with his cell phone, so this time I posted a link to both the drivers and to an FAQ on a forum that would help with the install. So for my trouble, VIOLATION NOTICE!
Now this has been going on almost since day 1. I have seen people posting question asking how to steal. How to counterfeit. How to clone cell phones. All types of illegal criminals, and Yahoo DOESN'T DELETE THOSE LINKS! But if a guy asks a bigot question bashing gay marriage and I make a comment that "Conservative is just another word for Ignorant", he can report me and I will get into trouble "Yeah, that was my first Violations Notice! The guy's hatred-based question is not deleted, but my comment trying to defend someone is, because the guy didn't like my comment." This is how Yahoo Answers works. It is 100% Bias. And since the Yahoo Employees working that day didn't mind an ignorant question like that, the guy was clear to rant about anything. And I, along with everyone else who didn't agree received a Violations Notice. So after seeing the questions that stayed up, I posted one about "Is Anyone Else Sick OF Yahoo ToolBar Being Included In Everything Without Our Knowledge?" And guess what happen? VIOLATION NOTICE!

So unless your asking a question or making a comment that the Yahoo staff Personally approves of, your in risk of having your account closed down. And if your not a Republican Bigot, then your going to have your posts and comments deleted by other users, and Yahoo will hunt you down like some kind of blind hitman and dish out unreasonable amounts of Bias punishment!
Read through "Yahoo! Answers Suggestion Board". If you want to see an abuse in power by Yahoo to delete what they don't like, then try and sweep it under the rug as quickly as possible, your going to have hours of fun to read!

I'm done trying to help. I can't compete against a system that rewards questions by ignorant people and punishes people that truly try to help. And since they never bothered to respond to my pleases for email, but just decided to block my emails altogether, I have nothing more I can do but post my complaints so everyone else who has been going through these problems can do the same.

What pissed me off is I always get suspended for giving good answers and all the shit seems to stay which is nothing more than a useless link to an unrelated webpage. I actually worked hard at good answers and I always just get suspended. Even better I always get suspended right after getting a best answer which makes me laugh even more at how shitty yahoo answers is becoming. It's like the harder you try to do legit answers the more likely you are to get suspended. Even better you NEVER get a reason why and I've never been unsuspended. It's no wonder Yahoo is going down the toilet fast.

Yahoo is biased against people who do not support Obama..I think! I have been a week in Yahoo Answers when all of a sudden I receive a notice of suspension of my account!

My posts were against Obama's dishonest and paying attention to the bltant bias of the Media for Obama. In each answer, I included my Yahoo Group link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Obama_NOway_NOhow/ .....which according Yahoo Rules should be ok...it's a sourch of information.

I requeseted from Yahoo to specify exactly as to which statement in my answers that violated their rules....they would not answer!

i have had the same problem my account was "suspended" almost a year ago for what, i couldn't say but mostly yahoo answers caters to closed-minded morons, which includes the moderators. if your not a right wing christian who has no brain of there own, then you get your comments and questions deleted and you get "suspended", which the last time i checked, didn't mean permanently banned.

I did look into the group & there is some helpful things there.. I saw a boy who was thinking about killing himself getting some helpful feedback.. I also saw a lot probably 60 to 70 percent of the things you talking about.. This guy was asking if senator Mccain should be considered a hero because he killed evil people in a war? I do not really see how that is a useful question or why Yahoo would allow it to remain up.. The topic just erupted into pro this and anti that. That is probably where people are getting theer accounts deleted.. If i was a paranoid man i would go as far as to say people are making these accounts and questions like this to weed out people they don't like for the simple fact of reporting them to Yahoo.. I am an independents myself so politics does not matter to me in the least bit.. To post any questions no related to a topic in need of real help should be deleted.. I don't know what questions you posted the2ndflood but if they fell into politics then you played right into these peoples games.. Looking through the terms and services Yahoo should be deleting everything like this.. I don't want to say you are right cause i don't know enough but from the things i saw over at Yahoo answers there is a level if biasism.. If you can't handle the fire then i suggest staying away from that site.. I doubt a few complaints is going to force a billion dollar company like Yahoo to all of a sudden give a ****.. You could always avoid the games and help those who really need it.. Let the republicans and democrats fight it out without you.. I for myself think that site is pretty childish for allowing these biasisms to take place.. If all topics like these were deleted then everyone would be treated as they should.. No one would be cast aside.. Take my advice & pretend Yahoo is just some madeup name...... That is what i do.....

I'm glad to see I'm not being bashed again!! I know people are going to read this and just think I am making this up for some pointless reason. Check this part of their web site out http://suggestions.yahoo.com/?prop=answers
It is full of users posting rants after they had their questions deleted for no other reason but BIAS reasons. People having their accounts deleted because some user didn't like something about them. I saw a guy who was upset because his account was deleted because someone didn't like his avatar. Most others didn't seem to care, but someone did and reported it to Yahoo. And Yahoo strapped on the guns and went looking to raise some H*LL! If you think I am blowing this out of proportion, then research this for yourself. Like I'm going to waste my time writing complaints over a simple misunderstanding. NO WAY! Yahoo Answers is Full-Blown-Out-Of-Control-With_Drunken-Bias-Power! If a user doesn't like your eye color, your account is good as gone!! And Maranda. What your talking about is not one of a kind. I'm not sure what you posted, but lets say someone asked a question why iCarly is stupid? And you defended the show and said it is not! The person that posted the question most likely reported your comment, because it didn't fit into the point they were making, and Yahoo deleted it. If you had said the show was stupid or something, they no one would have cared and the comment would have remained. So DO NOT BOTHER WITH YAHOO ANSWERS AGAIN! IT IS BIAS! AND RUN BY POWER-MAD BULLIES!!

When you sign up for sites like Yahoo you agree to there TOS. That means they own you. They own everything you say. Yahoo is no different. I never used Yahoo answers because it just seems like a stupid idea. the questions are stupid and the responses are stupid. If you really were trying to defend people and otheres did not agree with that and Yahoo took action against your account. These complaints are all you can do. Yahoo for a fact does not care about any of its users. Money is there users. The companys that provide that money are there gods. it sounds to me like a large group of people have formed together to push their propaganda and you were in the way of that. But if Yahoo has not removed those users questions and comments then I dont really see why they would remove yours. What would Yahoo have to gain from Republican propaganda? Maybe the people who work for them do. I dont really know. Just cut your loses and move on. Yahoo wont be around forever. There profits are low compared to the money spent to run the business. So dont worry about it anymore. And if there really is Republican propaganda being pushed on that site it clearly is not working. The Republican party is hated more then at any other time. So if there is people who have no other life but to sit and push Republican propaganda all day everyday and it is not working to boot! What a waste of life they have! Get some sleep the2ndfloor.

Wow, he called me a name. Big and bad from behind a computer. If you read my complaint and noticed my comments, you would see I was saying things that weren't anywhere near what others were saying. So let me get this straight. If someone calls a homosexual a ****ing faggot, and I call that person ignorant, I'm the one who should get into trouble? Your the type of person that was reporting me! Keep your comments to yourself. Because trashing me when you don't even have your real name listed, shows your a complete coward.
