I'm gonna update this. It's been about two months since I received the xbox this review was first written about. That 360 was shipped back to me 3 days after my review, it just so happens they didn't leave my records in the database.
However, a month after receiving that box, I got the red ring once again (when i say a month i mean to that exact day). Seeing as it is still under warranty i decided to just send it in once again and get another 360.
There were a few issues upon my second repair. First of all, I was unable to request the repair for 3 weeks because they thought i had too many consoles in recently for repair (said by an agent). when i finally filed the request, the process was fairly painless because i'd already been through it once before. Now i was a bit angry that my repair landed over the holidays so it took extra long. Anyways, the total time for repair and shipping was about 5 weeks on my second box. Ridiculous.
Update as of today: after getting the box 14 days ago, i have been "red-ringed" once again. I'm not sure if Microsoft just doesn't like me or if i'm just extremely unlucky but i am on my last nerve with this console.
