Won't credit my account! - Bundle Package (East TN)

MY bundle was $145.00 per month. They were supposed to mail me a noticed when it was due to renew. I never recieved the notice and my next bill was for 301.00. I called about the bill, I was told they made a mistake.

Here is the kicker they refuse to credit my account until I pay the total bill. I told them to turn everything off. They won't unitl the bill is paid. I offered to pay half of the bill if they would put me back on the bundle and credit me the ammount they owe me. Again they refused.
My phone, internet and cable have been turned off since july 17,2009. They continue to charge me $301.00 a month. They will not take my boxes and modem back. Someone has to pick it up(for a $30.00 charge). They won't pick it up until the bill is paid in full.
They said they were going to turn me into a collections. I told them to go right ahead, it's not like they can call me.

I have talked to 8 different people in the Ohio Valley all have had the same problem.
What I want to know is how can they legally charge me for a service I have not recieved in months?
