Had it installed Jan. 12, 07. I was told by a rep that knocked on my door one Saturday morning and woke me up. That she could save me around $20 a month if I changed my cable and Internet over to AT&T Uverse package. She quoted me and wrote down on paper $44.00 a month for U100 and $15.00 a month for Internet. 5 TV's. One DVR and 4 regular boxes. Plus the U400 package for free for 1 month. All I had to do was cancel the U400 service after 1 month and downgrade to U100 and I would still keep the 4 boxes and 1 DVR. When I got the bill I was overcharged by $100.00! I called and was told they didn't give me the credit for signing up. Well OK, they took that off, but when asking about downgrading back to the plan I signed up for I was told I could only keep one box and no DVR! I was also told that the price I had on paper did not exist and the actual fee was $25.00 per month more then I was quoted. There was nothing they could do, the AT&T rep that came to my house, unsolicited, was wrong and she would be talked to. I even talked with Mr. Hernandez, a supervisor, who proceded to tell me I should be happy to have such a great service and he was here for no other reason then to make me happy. But he still stuck by the higher prices and wouldn't even entertain giving me the price I left my original provider for. Typical "Bait & Switch" scam and they should be fined for it. The picture was good because it is digital. The channels suck. All the usual and then 10 to 20% are different languages. A dozen or so are Spanish speaking 2 or 3 are French and several oriental. I have a hard enough time with English and obviously would never need to watch these, some people might though. Music channels were mostly Hip-Hop, Rap and Disco. No Blues, Classic Rock or Progressive Jazz. Won't be using AT&T for phone much longer either. My cable provider will do it all, Cable, Interenet and Phone for around $109.00 a month.

Why do you expect same expensive service for a cheap price? You get what you pay. Why do people forget this fundamental rule and think that hey,, I get this for cheap and forget to think about others goodies they are losing in the process and then whine!
You got what you deserved by leaving the cable provider. Where there are greedy people, cheaters are always there!
