I live in an apartment building with a broken intercom, so I left a note on the door with my phone #, waited all day for my package, only to go down and find the "attempt to deliver" notice with "No phone, Sorry!" scribbled across it, telling me they would be doing the same thing tomorrow. Perhaps they thought I might want to sit there tomorrow and watch the door for 10 hrs... Fed Ex delivery people have phones.
