Went to Gallery Bar in NYC's Lower East Side. Very chill bar, cool crowd, good music. It's located on Orchard. You should definitely check it out if you're looking for an alternative to the annoying red ropes.

They have art installations featuring emerging artists on display - and always changing. Interesting concept.
