Wells Fargo Bank Home Mortgage Complaint

Wells Fargo Complaint

My fiancee and I are trying to buy a short sale property from Wells Fargo. We submitted an offer, our contract was accepted and per Wells Fargo stipulations we had to close by the end of the month of our contract. Though we had little time, we got our loan approved and were ready to close on the last day of the month. When we were going to close we had to push it back because Wells Fargo could not finish their paperwork. Then it got pushed back even further and they still would not approve the paperwork from the title company so that the closing could happen. We are still waiting to close on the house with no closing date in sight. We have already given notice to our landlord about when we will be moving out so if this falls through we have no where to go. I am disgusted at the business practices of Wells Fargo and the fact that they cannot do one simple task that is probably a matter of protocol to them. Please do not do business with Wells Fargo and promote their lack of compassion for the people in unfortunate situations. I feel mostly for the sellers who are going through a divorce and want nothing more than to have this property off of their hands and move on with their lives.

I also have had the same problem with Wells Fargo. My husband and I when to see the loan officer October 2008. Before our home was build. He checked all the necessary documents. We were told everything is ok. He also had given us a commitment letter with a low interest rate for the loan. I had Contact him numerous times to make sure everything is ok. He assured us that the loan had approved. Came closing date May 2009 to find out that nothing was done. The excuses was the underwriter still working on the application, their very busy or asking for more documents which already given to him months ago. We when to see him afterward to tell him "if he cannot approve the loan is ok, please tell us now. We will go elsewhere to get a new loan. He said no don’t do that, I also ask him if I decided to canceled the loan can I get my money back, he said yes no problem. He kept saying that the loan is approved just have to wait for the manager to sign off for it. Time passes by three months later. Still no word of when they are going to approved it. We decided to go with another bank and hope Wells Fargo could approve the loan for the lower rate. The new loan from another bank approved it within a month after we sold our home. We end up renting back for a week from the new homeowner. Plus have to stay at a hotel for three weeks. All stuffs we have was store in storage. All these unnecessary expense that could have been avoid, if he told us the truth. After we had moved into our new home I call Wells Fargo to ask if he had any word on the loan, he told me “no” still waiting. I got upset and told him to cancel the loan and to refund my money. It had been two months now I call him and email him. Now he is telling me that the money apply to the appraisal report. Wells Fargo has nothing to refund me for it. I am very upset with them right now. I am going to write a complaint to the Wells Fargo CEO and also the office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC).

I have had similar problems with Wells Fargo. I have been trying to apply for a loan and they have given me the run around. They have told me that their Underwriting Dept, had swine flu then the loan officer got fired for God knows what. I paid to lock in a rate and they won't even put me through to someone who can tell me what is going on with my loan. I paid for an inspection. I essentially got robbed $1000. Worst of all they have ruined my dream of owning a home, I just don't want to deal with it anymore.
