Sadly it is a rear thing to find in today’s fast paced world, with chain restaurants only worried about the number of customers not the quality of service to find a chain restaurant that gives you the service of a high class establishment. On Sunday Dec 28, 2008 Annie M Cittrich passed away. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a good friend. It was her passing that our family found ourselves in Sumter the week of Dec. 29 to Jan 3. With no family remaining in Sumter we stayed in a hotel and eat all our meals in restaurants. It was one of these restaurants that helped us all relax. Our first visit to the Sumter Applebee’s was a somber occasion however the staff was kind and very able to assist us in our needs. We decided that we would go back the next night. Again we received outstanding service. Our waiter “Trevin Durant” and the manager “Phil West” did not rush. They took the time to space our meals so we could talk and enjoy stories of Annie’s life. We decided that it would be Applebee’s were we would join together every night until we came home. Not once did they disappoint us in the level of service or quality of food. We want to take this time to thank them and their entire staff for helping us through a very hard week. If it were not for Trevin and Phil we would not have been able to relax and have a place to reminisce. The entire R Cittrich Sr, R Cittrich Jr, and C Cittrich families thank Trevin and Phil at Applebee’s of Sumter for all their time, compassion and friendship during this one of the hardest times of our lives. It is these two kind, understanding men and their desire to provide the best service they could that helped all of us remember the loving kind women that has left us.
