Verizon doesn't want me as a customer anymore - Cellphone and Plan

I am very disappointed that Verizon Wireless no longer wants me as a customer. I love Verizon Wireless. They are by far the best carrier I have every had. I have referred so many people to them. I have never had a problem with billing and have always had a great experience with customer service. Over the past 3 years you could count the number of dropped call's I've had on one hand and I honestly believe it was the person I was talking to whose phone dropped the call. I have never had a problem placing a call or getting a signal. I have been with Verizon for 3 years now. Last year I signed another 2 year contract I have almost completed the first year. I am currently paying about $40 a month. I emailed Verizon the other day to inquire about upgrading to a Blackberry. I was told that because I was in a contract that I could upgrade my phone and service but that I would have to pay full price for the new phone because I wasn't eligible for a new one for another year. My other option was that I could add 2 new lines and get a buy one get one free Blackberry. I have an individual plan......what do I need with 2 more lines. I understand that there are restrictions and all but I'm not trying to break a contract. Verizon has a customer here who is wanting to stay with Verizon and upgrade a phone and service, which would result in an increased bill. I did a little calculating and if I keep my current plan for the next year, I will owe Verizon about $480. If I upgraded to a Blackberry and signed a new 2-yr contract (which I would), I would then be owing them about $2160 - a difference of $1680. I don't know about you but that's a lot of money to me. I was very disappointed when I learned that they did not want me as a customer. So, I plan to start looking around for offers from other carriers. I'm sure there is one out there that would love to take my money.
