I've always had really good experiences at Ulta . I'm shocked by some of the stories on here, but anyone looking to try the store should! Not all stores are like some of them mentioned.

I always buy from Ulta or Sephora, usually online, and the first time I went to Ulta they were really friendly and helpful. I will admit there may be some products they don't know much about, but Ulta sells SO many brands it's almost impossible for them to know about all of them.

And btw, I went to Sephora for the first time last week and they were really rude. They looked right at me when I walked in and I was wandering around looking for Clinique products and they didn't ask if I needed help. Finally I just asked where the products were and they were very rude like I was interrupting something important even though they were just standing around- not even talking to each other, just standing there.

A friend of mine went to the Ulta salon for the first time and they did amazing w/ her hair cut and style. So give it a chance! Plus they always have good sales

As an Ulta employee I am sorry to hear that your free girft was gone. Did it ever occur to you that we recieve a limited amount of free gifts and well by golly free gifts go pretty quick! Its not a scam. Its a first come first serve deal. The 20% off coupon does list everything that is excluded. This story of yours seems like a familiar lie. Happy Shopping!

Ulta stores have horrible customer service and don't ever waste your time trying to redeem their online coupons. They are a scam. Once they were offering a free item with a purchase. They told me they were out of the free item. Another time, it was a 20% off coupon; I tried to buy an item not listed on their exempt list, once in the store I was told that although my hair care item is not listed by name on the exempt list, it's not covered. Another time, I purchased a nail polish, after I paid for it; I realized they rang up the retail price not the sale price. When I asked the sales person, she walked to the display and said; oh we forgot to take off the sign. So, I would rather shop on drugstore.com or Sephoria then to ever buy another item from Ulta. Big Scam. I'm sure it will catch up with them soon.
