UHaul experience, not as bad as expected

We rented a UHaul truck for our recent move of a few things out of storage because that's what you do. I don't even know any other names of rental truck companies. Once we'd rented the truck though I discovered all of these terrible reviews for UHaul all over the web. It panicked me a bit because we were already booked. But, as it turns out the experience wasn't so bad. The truck was as described and the people at the desk were friendly. We got the truck back in time and only had to pay the one day. Not bad! I'm not sure though that I would use their trucks for a long haul like a big move across country. The steering wasn't exactly comfortable and the trucks are old and heavy. Might be better to hire a moving company/service in that case.
