Tricked into ordering 3 - Website Telebrands selling Pedi Paws

I saw the advertisement on TV and thought it would be easy to order online. Oh how wrong I was.

Telebrands website (the company that you order Pedi Paws from) tricks you when you order.

It does not let the order go through right away, because it asks you questions to order more things at a cheaper cost. It does not let you pick how to order (I was taken through pages of the order process and each page asked if I wanted this or that, so when it did ask me if I wanted two, I thought it meant just add one more on to my order). Wrong again.

I was first only going to order one for me and then I thought ok I will order another for a friend as a gift. I thought cool it has a option to order two. so I clicked it and when I reached the end, it said I have ordered 3. The one I first ordered and then 2 more. So miss leading and of course it does not stop here.

After I saw that it ordered 3 and a huge shipping cost, my first order was only for 19 dollars that turned into 70 dollars.

So I called the number to fix it but guess what? They could not fix it because it was not processed yet. They told me to call back when I have a order number.

A little later that day I received an email confirming the order. So I called again to cancel it but they told me to call on Tuesday they will have it in the system. I ordered on Saturday so I thought ok I can understand that it takes time to get in a system and it is the weekend.

I waited till Tuesday and called again, I explained to the customer service agent that I still do not have a order number but I was told to call on Tuesday. She promptly found my order and also told me I could not change it or cancel it because it was already processed. I was fuming and told them I called twice before so it would be changed before it was processed. She said she was sorry but I could send it back when I get it.

I even asked to speak to her superviser who also did not help but only gave me a RMA# to send it back and also the order# so I told her she was working for a crooked company that does not allow their customers to change their order and worse they trick them in the ordering process. I told her I was going to stop payment on my cc and she said she would inform her CEO of the company. I told her, better yet, let me speak to him. She said he is not reachable.

Do not order from this company, wait for the products to be put out in the stores or plan on being taken for more money than what it is worth.

I also ordered something from Telebrands. In my case it was the EZ Combs. The same thing happened!

I ended up with a double order and it took calling them EVERY business day for 3 weeks to get my order corrected.

Then the REAL irritation started.

I placed my order on January 1st. of this year. My payment was taken from the bank on January 27th. My tracking status said my package was shipped on February 3rd and should be delivered between the 13th and the 24th of February.

Today is March 17th and I STILL have no package. I called the "corporate office" of Telebrands and spoke to a woman who told me she would refund $5 to my card AND send me an extra comb in any color I wanted. She then told me to expect delivery around April 20th!!!

I am very angry and I will NEVER purchase anything from this company in the future.

TXRTST: You are absolutely right about all of this. This is the exact thing that I went through. It's a complete scam! My order was $40.96, and I called to upgrade my shipping because there is not a shipping option on the website. Instead of upgrading my shipping, I'm assuming the customer service idiot cancelled my initial order and placed a new one (which I did not authorize). In the long run, I was charged $40.96 and $47.96. I did not receive my item for Christmas as promised. I cancelled "both" orders and requested a refund. I received a refund for $47.96 but not for the $40.96. I requested a refund 12/22 and it's 01/26 and I have yet to receive a refund after repeatedly calling and being assured a refund is being processed. The customer service reps BLATANTLY refuse to allow callers to speak to management. I used to think that working customer service would be a drag because of having to deal with the public. If you want to get your anger out, just get a job at PediPaws. The company allows representatives to talk to customers as though they are dogs. I would NEVER order something from TeleBrands again. WalMart has PediPaws and RiteAid has the file refills.

Thank you for the warning. I was going to place an order but now I shall not!!!! Don't want to support crooks!!
