Now,in 06/08 air cond is not working have gone 2 wks without air sd it was the reversing valve had to order part waited 1 1/2 wk. When they came out different tech put in part and chgd 589.00 for labor because parts are covered by warranty. Guess what!! Not working barely blows cold air..DO NOT PURCAHSE A TRANE!!!!!

OK Kalikali....there is no Air Compressor in a heat pump. Your statement is completely false. Show me an actual verifiable article stating that. As for Miller, it sounds like the unit may have been installed incorrectly. Or you are working with an HVAC company that is not properly servicing your equipment. People always think it is the brand that is bad, when 9 out of 10 times it is the installation that was done incorrectly. Is the unit sized accurately, was a Heat Load calculation performed on your home at the time of installation. Was the company a certified TRANE Dealer? I would blame the company that you are working with before I lay blame on TRANE.

Why does it take over 2.5 weeks for local heat and air company to get parts for 1.5 year old Trane heat pump?

I agree, I have had several problems with my new Trane heat pump, only after threatening legal actin did I get a whole new unit. They were caught using rebuilt air compressors and old parts.....
