Pot Au Feu Restaurant Complaint

This was the most horrible...

This was the most horrible dining experience I have ever had. It was a cold windy Friday night in Providence. There were no valets and we had to park in an alley a block away. When we got inside there was nobody to check our coats. One person in our party ordered a fiet cooked medium He got a filet that was very well done. He asked the waitress to return it for one that was cooked medium. By the time his food came out (delivered by the bus person because we never saw our waitress again) the rest of us had eaten our meals and our dirty plates had been sitting in front of us for at least 10-15 min. I told the waitress that we were very upset with the poor service (there were only two other occupied tables in the entire salon on a Friday night - now we know why!). The waitress sent the owner, Bob Burke, over to the table ....we thought to apologize ...but boy were we wrong. After hearing our story Mr. Burke disappeared into the kitchen to investigate. He came back to the table carrying the dried up old piece of steak that had been returned and began to argue about whether or not it was cooked properly!!! Mr. Burke was insulting and condescending. It was so upsetting that we ended up having to ask him to just leave the table so that we could finish and get out of there. After running my credit card Mr. Burke came back and offered a free dessert. Needless to say, we declined and left - never to return. There are many many fine restaurants in Providence - don't waste your time and money at Pot Au Feu (from the pitiful lack of patrons on a Friday night we aren't the only ones who have decided never to go back there).
