I had gotten AES through Student Loan Express. When I had signed any papers, I was advise that my lender would send me the right info about my policy I have with the company. I recieved on but it was just a brief summary of what kind of loans and deferment there are. I never was advise or told how their policies worked. When I applied for deferment because I can not find a job, I was told I have one year for this deferment. Six months later the company contacted me to let me know that my account was becoming active. Now they are telling me that base on the lender, I have to pay 3 months stright before I can reapply for a deferment of only 3 months then I have to make 3 months of payment in order for me to apply again for a deferment. I was told I still have 18 months left for a deferment but I can not get it until I start making payments to my account. I explain to them they never advise me of their policies nor recieved any paperwork for it when I requested it from them directly. I find this company VERY VERY shady when it comes to the comsumer and the lender. If I was notified of their proceeders, I would have consider to look around for other lenders!
