They didn't fix my laptop - but they told the truth - computer repair

I have a Gateway laptop that is about 7 years old. It worked great until I broke the power jack. I new that it was also infected because my norton kept alerting me to a trojan. Anyways, I thought I could get this fixed for under a hundred dollars. I was wrong. I took it to them and they just looked at it without charging me and told me to save my money and put it toward another system. They did say they could fix it but it would be more like 200 dollars. At first I was upset. Then my brother-in-law looked at it and said they were right. I got a sense that these guys were truthful and they weren't out to scam me. I only rated them 3 because I didn't actually have any work done but I think these guys aren't scamming anyone. I took their advice and bought a Dell and if ever have an issue, I'll bring it to them.
