The Avalon Hotel, Los Angeles I...

I stay in hotels frequently as my job requires a lot of travel, and I am compelled to write about the Avalon in Beverly Hills. It is the only hotel that has met every request I made for a wake-up call. Beyond that, the staff was always friendly and accommodating. I came down with a terrible cold during my stay and one morning dragged myself down to the restaurant for some tea to bring back to my room (didn’t want to deal with the formality of room service). The waiter, sensing how miserable I was, just gave me the tea and refused to charge me for it. The hotel may have lost out on the sale of a cup of tea, but I will come back with co-workers for one of our 1-2 week stints in Los Angeles. The morning of our departure, we had to leave for the airport at 5:00 am. When we got in our rental car, the valet had left bottled of water for all of us. I look forward to visiting again.
