Thanks Geico Insurance for fixing my windshield for FREE! - Glass claims

Wow. This is my first car, my first insurance company so I didn't know what to expect but you hear so many horror stories about insurance! So I was REALLY sad when I got a small but obvious chip in my windshield the other day from a big huge trucking company truck - I was also really mad but what can you do? I was sure my deductible would ocme into play but when I called GEICO and told them what happened they not only paid for it to be fixed they sent the guy out to my work to fix it for me!! I was SO happy, now you can hardly even tell anything happened - the chip has almost disappeared and it didn't cost me a thing. A coworker told me it's because they don't want to have to deal with a claim for replacing the whole windshield so it's cheaper for them to fix this now as it is for free before it spreads.
Whatever the logic, I'm thrilled!

It's pretty common practice for the insurance companies to pay for this kind of thing. It saves them money in the long run. The real test comes when you have something that really costs them - then you know if you're with the right guys. So far, Geico has treatedm e right too.
