This medical practice is extremely unhelpful. The problem lies with the front office manager. I called 3 days prior to needing a prescription filled at 9AM, and they told me they would call me when it was ready (okay, normal enough).I've had problems with this place before where my mother has to call the prescription in for me because they won't do anything for me (I'm 21 yet can't call my own prescription in...seriously). My mother called about 6 hours later and they told her that it was in a pile to be signed by the doctor. She called a couple hours later only to be told that they are completely understaffed and a nurse was coming in to help them get through all the work. The 3rd time she called she was told that the doctor would be signing it when she was done. My mother called a fourth time and was told the doctor wasn't even in that day. My mother called me at work she was so upset. I called the doctor's office to find out why they had given my mother and I the run around - if they had told her the doctor wasn't in that day it would have been fine - but they lied to her. I was told to speak to the front office manager the next morning. My mom called the manager the next morning and the manager was extremely rude and had NO customer service skills whatsoever. I spoke with the manager next and was told "You shouldn't be hasseling the office all day - we have other patients too! We have a rule that the prescriptions don't necessarily get filled right away and it can take up to 48 hours. So it's your own fault, YOU should have called us earlier." At this point I cut her off because I was so fed up with dealing with this insolent brat and told her that I was never aware of this policy, and regardless it should be stated to the person requesting the prescription every time a prescription request was made. Her response to this was "Well it's hanging up in our office" (Which does me good how? I've NEVER seen that sign in the office). I gave the phone back to my mother who hung up on her. We got into the car to go pick up my prescription - the front office manager handed me my prescription and said, "Don't you want the forms to go to a different doctor and transfer your medical records?" She obviously didn't want us there any more (nor did we want to be there anymore). She then shoved the papers in my hand. This front office manager is rude, insolent, incompetant, and should by no means be working with people. I am 21, I should not be spoken to like a 5 year old - I work front desk at a hotel, I know what customer service is, and I was being completely professional with her. She was excessively disrespectful to both my mother and I. I will never go back there again, and my family is permanently leaving that practice.
