Tasti D-lightful Tasti D-Lite - 3rd Avenue between 36th and 37th streets, Manhattan – east side of street

I admit it. I love tasti d. I don’t feel that I’m compromising anything in terms of flavor or dessert enjoyment by eating this concoction of who knows what in lieu of real ice cream. Having been a resident of NYC for 15 years, I’ve had the opportunity to visit and sample this product at countless locations; uptown, downtown, east and west sides of Manhattan and, more recently, Brooklyn. The best one without question is this small mid-town site. Tony, the owner, is a friendly, welcoming presence and maintains his business impeccably. He is respectful of his customers and his employees. Beyond that, I swear he‘s got it down in terms of the perfect combination of tasti-d formula and water. The result is a superior frozen treat. It is the right consistency, the flavor is balanced and not too sweet… trust me, I’m an aficionado.
