Ive had my Magic Jack for about 8 months. I didn'thave too many problems with it but last week I couldn't get or send phone calls. I paid someone $25/hr. to help me deal with suppport as I'm not computer efficient. After 3 1/2 hours the problem was finally solved. In their broken English they e-mailed me back and forth and after 2 hours they told me to disconnect the Magic Jack and the computer. Of course, once I did, I lost the person helping me and had to get support again. They had to format the Magic Jack. At the end I requested they do SOMETHING for me (I was thinking of maybe one year free service). DREW, the worst possible operator, told me that the Magic Jack was now fixed and he didn't tell me I should hire someone to help me. He said "So, deal with it". They try to act kind but in the long run will leave you feeling hopelessly frustrated. If I had known how awful customer support was, I would never have ordered Magic Jack.

Dude, $25 per hour? Magic Jack is so cheap why didnt you just go get another one, LOL.

As stated above, you have to be computer literate. You will have to update magic jack online from time to time. I have experienced a few problems nothing major. I keep my computer updated "daily," when the system acts funny I unplug it and or restart my computer and that fixes the problem. I feel problems that are being faced are due to computer mishap i.e., computer clutter clean up (cookies and registry), antivirus updates, and other computer configurations that should be done daily if not weekly. Those that are not computer savy will have some problems.

You have to knowleagable re: computers to have a chance re: magicjack. The TV infomercials makee it seem to easy for the average user.

haven't been able to make any calls,get dial tone try number and it disconects
