Stove 790 Heating Element Quits TWICE - Sears Range 790.96352401

We had the oven heating element replaced while still under warranty 1.5 years ago. Now, this SECOND element burned, starting flames in the oven and melting a piece to the bottom of the oven! This is apparently a known problem and I do not think I should have to pay for a repair visit. I found lots of similar problems on line. DON'T BUY ONE OF THESE.
