Im a 5 year costomer of Sprint. My 2 new Katana Eclipse phones are but 3 months old.
One of these phones crashed the other day. I pay 14.00$ insurance on both of them a month. Your repair center said it was from nothing ive done,that the software has just failed! I use these for work and personal use. I felt confident with my insurance this phone would be replaced that day with more then 4 of your stores near me, witch dose stock them. But no...I was told those new phones are for new costomers only.
I was then told I would have to wait and be with out my phone 4 to 5 days until its shipped in to the repair center. Then I was told it would be a remanufactured phone instead of a new one? Im woundering a few things maybe you could help me with...Why are you treating a new costomer off the street better than a 5 year costomer with impeccable credit and not one bill late in 5 years...also what the heck did this great insurance do for me? I think there is a very bad recession going on and you should be treating your long time costomers very good,and when you have the product at your finger tips and thay know you do, dont treat them like crap! Needless to say I wont get over this one and will be looking at new cell carriers in the future.

Hello, mrstang65, The insurance you have is the TEP (Total Equipment Protection) meaning, if there is anything wrong with your phone, Sprint's repair center will do their best to fix it. If not, they will replace it free of charge and have it shipped to your home or repair center. If you have a problem with your phone, they don't just take a new one off of the self, rather they send you a recondition (either been return or repaired) phone. Their recondition phones are as good as a new phone. The great part of Sprint's TEP is if for any reason, that none of their replacement phones don't work properly, they usually will replace it with a brand new one. But for that to happen, you would have to check in about maybe say 5-6 times! But really, you do have a great insurance plan, TEP!
