Horizon Hobby, Inc. Review
Spektrum AR6100 Receiver Sucks but Horizon Hobbies Customer Service is great - Spektrum AR6100 Receiver

I bought a Spektrum AR6100 receiver from Horizon Hobby, Inc. and put it in a $200 airplane.
2 minutes into flight and I lost radio contact with the plane and crashed it.
I lost the battery and the plane.
So I'm warning you, DO NOT BUY AR6100, buy AR6000.
This is so important to say twice, DO NOT BUY AR6100, BUY AR6000.
If you don't believe this, search online and you will see stories about this receiver.
BUT, I called Horizon Hobby, Inc. and as always they are very cooperative and they agreed to send me an AR6000 instead.
I just wanted to thank Horizon Hobby, Inc. for their great customer service, and I hope they stop selling Spektrum AR6100 receivers one day!

2. My experience with the AR6100 receiver has been excellent. However, I do not use the internal BEC in the ESC. I always use a UBEC instead and have never had a problem of "brown-out" due to servo overload.
